PAL Digibeta to prores 422hq
We specialize in PAL Digital Betacam, (PAL Digi Beta),
and PAL Betacam SP to ProRes 422HQ digital file conversion. PAL Digibeta tapes can be digitized in
SD, or HD resolution via our broadcast quality
real time optical hardware encoders from Teranex.
This technology is used by all television networks globally to bring content that was originally recorded in SD to the HD platform we live in today.

PAL Digital Betacam (commonly referred to as PAL DigiBeta, PAL D-Beta, DBC or simply Digi) was launched in 1993. It supersedes both Betacam and Betacam SP, while costing significantly less than the D1 format. S tapes are available with up to 40 minutes running time, and L tapes with up to 124 minutes. The Digital Betacam format records a 3 to 1 DCT-compressed digital component video signal at 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 sampling in NTSC (720x486) or PAL (720x576) resolutions at a bitrate of 90 Mbit/s plus four channels of uncompressed 48 kHz / 20 bit PCM-encoded digital audio. It was a popular digital video cassette format for broadcast television use in Europe. Imagine Video has the professional Sony DVW-A500P VTR decks, specifically designed for PAL Digital Betacam conversions.
We can transfer a single tape or an entire library of tapes.
